I am a Feteasca Neagra (Black Maiden) full of vitality, born from Romania's most renowned grape variety and cultivated with care across the 37 hectares of the Recas vineyard. The diversity of soils and varying exposures contribute to my complexity while our winemakers meticulously control production and micro-vinify each plot. This careful process gives me a rich range of expressions, earning me the reputation of being a "chameleon."
In the range I represent, Fetească Neagră captivates with aromas of perfectly ripened red fruits and an elegant body complemented by smooth, melting tannins. The 2023 harvest was a classic year for Fetească Neagră from Recas, yielding grapes at an ideal level of ripeness, resulting in a wine that achieves balance across alcohol, body, and tannins.
Red grape maceration is conducted at controlled temperatures, and oak ageing is precisely measured to achieve an impeccable harmony of aroma and flavour—50% new oak for six months. This careful crafting ensures the wine delights in its youth and as it matures.
